The House Freedom Caucus laid a trap, and the Left walked right into it.

In August, members of the HFC announced they would oppose any spending bill this fall that does not secure our southern border and “force the Biden Administration to follow the law and fulfill its most basic responsibilities.”

It’s hard to argue with them, given the trauma, violence, and death Joe Biden’s border crisis has created.

Thanks to Biden’s refusal to stop the invasion, crime is spiking. Fentanyl and crystal meth are pouring into our country. Mexican drug cartels are making billions off of human trafficking. Even blue cities and states are begging the president for help.

But when House conservatives called for action to secure the border as part of any budget deal this month, the Left threw a fit.

Congressional Democrats shrieked about a possible government shutdown. The media posted story after story about all the government programs that could be compromised. The president called it a “problem.”

In other words, the Left just proved the House Freedom Caucus’s point!

They all just admitted they don’t care about the crime, drugs, trafficking, and lawlessness on our southern border. No, their real concern is funding the left-wing bureaucracies of the federal Deep State.

They care more about their woke base than they do about the constitutional and humanitarian disaster they have created. 

This is exactly why conservatives should be joining the House Freedom Caucus in demanding border security as part of any spending legislation for the next fiscal year.

House Freedom Fund certainly will be. We will be supporting leaders who take this stand against fiscal insanity and border chaos. And we will only support House candidates in 2024 who share the same courage and principles on the campaign trail.

Have you heard? Washington is OUTRAGED. The media is aghast. Leaders in both are furious. Why?

It’s not because of the spiraling national debt or the war in Ukraine, the Hunter Biden scandals, or even the banana republic persecution of Donald Trump.

It’s a humanitarian crisis and a direct threat to the rule of law in our country.

And Washington’s concern is that someone wants to fix it?!

This is precisely why we need the House Freedom Caucus fighting in Congress. Both party establishments have been so warped by Swamp thinking that they see problems as good and solutions as bad!

It’s only once a year, when the Deep State comes to Congress for its money that conservatives have a real shot at reform. We have the leverage to force change — it’s just a question of using it or not.

House leaders don’t want to use it. They are afraid of the Democrats threatening to shut down the government over an actual spending debate. Neither party in Washington is really willing to fight to secure the border.

The American people know we must fix this problem — and the House Freedom Caucus is standing with them.

Earlier this summer, the Supreme Court struck down racial discrimination in college admissions as illegal and unconstitutional. Most Americans cheered — the Biden Administration was furious.

They immediately got to work developing plans to make the world safe for left-wing campus racism again. This summer, they announced their plan: just ignore the Court.

Joe Biden’s Department of Education sent a letter to all U.S. colleges and universities telling them to double down on racial prejudice.

They want schools to ask applicants about what their race means to them and how their admission would impact campus diversity and to encourage students to create race-based clubs and extracurricular events.

Sixty years ago, Martin Luther King, Jr. said he dreamed of an America where his children would be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Today, the President and the woke Left are trying to build just the opposite.

Racism is racism, no matter who is practicing it or who is being victimized. Today, racism is being practiced by radicals on college campuses against white and Asian kids — and with the full support of the federal government.

This is just one more example of the Left’s contempt for the Constitution, the rule of law, and human equality. And one more example of why conservatives must stop nitpicking, hesitating, and overthinking our strategy — and just fight.

Next November, no matter what, voters will be choosing all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The House will still control the federal budget. It will still have power over impeachments. It will have power over colleges and universities and the Education Department’s rules for them.

The only question is whether the House elected in 2024 will be led by socialist Democrats, establishment Republicans, or principled conservatives willing to end campus racism once and for all.

If it’s the latter we want, then we have to start fighting right now to support the best, toughest House candidates in the United States. 

No corporate cronies. No woke Marxists. No stealth establishment yes-men. We need bold, outspoken conservatives willing to take on Washington, the Left, and their own party when necessary to save America.

The most important political fight this fall won’t be on a debate stage or a courtroom or on the campaign trail. Rather, it will be exactly where it should be: the U.S. House of Representatives.

As you know, the federal government’s fiscal year ends on September 30 — which means Congress is heading for another showdown over the federal budget.

Establishment Republicans, like always, are terrified. They are afraid of the media accusing them of “brinksmanship.” They are afraid of being blamed for a government shutdown.

But most of all, they are afraid of the issues that would define a budget battle this year. They are afraid of the American people finding out what Joe Biden is spending taxpayer dollars on. 

The Swamp knows that if conservatives speak up, the American people will stand up. For more than two years now, the Biden Administration has been turning the federal government into an ATM for the Woke Industrial Complex.

They are funding:

• Open borders

• The weaponization of the criminal justice system

• International abortions

• Social media censorship

• The sexualization of schoolchildren

• Racism and America-bashing in our classrooms

• The obstruction of congressional investigations

The U.S. House of Representatives controls federal spending bills, and Republicans control the U.S. House of Representatives. Of course, we have to fight to protect hardworking taxpayers from this administration’s corruption and extremism.

But we cannot wait until September 30 to fight. That’s what the Establishment wants. They only have one play in their playbook: run out the clock and then pass a bill at the last minute, in the dark of night, to avoid scrutiny and accountability.

House conservatives need to make their demands known soon. So grassroots conservatives like us need to make our voices heard right now.

The story of Hunter Biden is comically corrupt. He broke gun laws, drug laws, and tax laws and has operated for years as an unlicensed foreign agent. And to top it off, the plea bargain Hunter’s lawyers negotiated with the Justice Department — to cover up the Bidens’ corruption — has now been thrown out because it was corrupt, too!

Jordan’s hearings, subpoenas, and whistleblower testimony have destroyed the media narrative of Hunter’s innocence. Polling now shows Republicans and Independents overwhelmingly agree that Biden’s Justice Department has been protecting Hunter from prosecution — and large numbers of Democrats believe it, too.

The sweetheart plea deal was supposed to button the scandal up. But thanks to Jim Jordan and his team, the truth is finally getting out …

• About a possible $10 million bribery scheme between Hunter and Russian businessmen;

• About IRS and FBI obstruction of the investigations of Hunter’s crimes;

• About Biden’s possible complicity in his son’s illicit activities.

The Hunter Biden Case may be the scandal of a lifetime. And the media and the Justice Department would have buried the whole thing if it weren’t for a handful of fighting, principled conservatives in Congress standing up for what’s right.

That’s something to remember as the 2024 election cycle starts to heat up. In the coming months, establishment Republicans will try to convince you that you should trust them. We know better.

The greatest trick woke socialists pull is convincing Americans that they really care about woke socialism. Yes, rich leftist elites hate America, but deep down, they love money even more.

Their agencies — which are funneling billions into leftist activism — are also all overdue for targeted cuts.

At House Freedom Fund, we understand that this is how to fight back against the weaponization of the federal government. Investigations are necessary. Impeachments may be too. But in Washington, only money talks.

All federal spending bills must start in the House of Representatives — and that means Republicans have the leverage to withdraw financial support for the wokest of the woke.

This is what American politics needs to be about today — defunding and defanging the Left. Everything woke elites do — from persecuting Donald Trump to inviting the border crisis to rigging election laws to indoctrinating our kids — they do with our money. It’s time to take it back.

Congressional conservatives just showed Republican hand-wringers that, contrary to Swamp Logic, standing firm on conservative principles really does work.

The most recent proving ground of this fact was this year’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the massive bill that sets U.S. military and security policy every year. As soon as President Biden’s released his leftist defense budget in the spring, conservatives began preparing for an NDAA fight this summer.

As usual, Republican leaders cautioned against picking fights on “controversial” issues. As you know, “controversial” is just the word the corporate media uses to describe popular conservative ideas. They are usually the issues Republicans should be fighting on — the Left uses that word to scare us off.

But for the first time in a long time, we have a group of House conservatives who don’t scare easily.

They put up amendments:

• Rescinding Joe Biden’s abortion travel reimbursement policy for military personnel. (That’s the fight Sen. Tommy Tuberville is waging in the Senate, too.)

• Keeping Chinese influence out of the U.S. movie business.

• Blocking spending on programs that help Iran’s criminal regime and their terrorist proxies.

• Defunding woke diversity, equity, and inclusion programs at the Pentagon.

Democrats warned that each one would kill the whole bill. Each one passed. And so did the final bill. Conservatives didn’t kill anything except bad Biden policies.

In basketball, you miss every shot you don’t take. Likewise, in Congress, you lose every amendment vote you don’t force.

The lesson here — that House Freedom Fund takes to the campaign trail as the House Freedom Caucus takes to Congress — is simply that standing boldly on principle works.

Fighting for the unborn, for national security, and for fiscal sanity is good. That should be the conservative playbook. It won’t work every time, but it works more than The Swamp thinks. 

That’s why they don’t want us to fight — and why we should. It’s certainly why HFF will continue to do so until, with your help, the fight is won.

House Freedom Caucus members helped pass an amendment yesterday offered by Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) to prohibit the Secretary of Defense from paying for or reimbursing expenses relating to elective abortion.
